Good, all worked well out the box

Wanted something for rising 7 year old grandchild visits, who has see the film.
Well packed, quality feel to the whole thing. No setup issues - very easy. BB8 easily steams around carpets under ipad control. 7 year old rapidly learnt to drive. Twice as fast on hard floors. Patrol setting works well, just leave it to potter around. Quite endearing to watch, kids start talking to it. She liked the holographic transmissions, although placing is critical to get it right.
Good----easy use, easy charging, easy driving, endearing cute to watch
Disappointed - really only that the actual droid does NOT chirrup or make any noises, all from the i-device.
Value - worth it - quality.

What a great little gadget

I bought this for my grandson - always moans about not getting much for his birthday being so close to Christmas so saw this and got it for him and its great. Runs with his iPad and has a patrol mode where BB-8 goes off and does his own thing around the house - the cat thinks its most curious. It just fires up when you star the app and shuts down when you close it. Hours of fund don't think I'll give it to my grandson -well maybe I will I know he will enjoy it too.

This IS the droid you're looking for!

Having read some reviews and watched some videos on this cute little droid I thought this was a worthy addition to my original Star Wars collection, and I wasn't disappointed. He's a great little character with a personality all of his own, great fun rolling around my house in Explore mode, and i'm sure with more upgrades to come via the phone app. Delivery was the fast and efficient as usual. As the tag line says, this is the droid you're looking for :-)
